I’m inviting the community to join me for Meet the Candidate, an Ask Me Anything (AMA) style event on Tuesday, September 24th at 6:00 PM at the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce.
This will be an evening of open conversation where I want to hear directly from you—our neighbors, business owners, and families—about what matters most in Bradford.
Why I’m Hosting “Meet the Candidate”
Running for City Council isn’t just about bringing ideas to the table—it’s about listening. Too often, decisions are made without real discussion with the people they impact most. My goal is to change that. Meet the Candidate will be a chance for you to share your concerns, ask hard questions, and tell me what you’d like to see in our city’s future.
My Vision for Bradford
As a candidate for City Council, I believe Bradford’s future depends on:
- Stronger neighborhoods through investment in housing and revitalization.
- A fairer tax system that balances the needs of residents, businesses, and the city budget.
- Support for families and workers so Bradford remains a community where people want to live, work, and raise their children.
- Forward-looking leadership that prioritizes solutions and long-term planning.
These ideas are starting points, but your input will help shape how they can be put into action.
Talking About Home Rule
One of the questions I expect to hear is about the Home Rule Charter. In simple terms, Home Rule gives cities more flexibility in how they govern themselves compared to following the state’s default municipal code.
This fall, Bradford voters will be asked whether to create a Home Rule Study Commission. If approved, that commission’s job would be to investigate the pros and cons and possibly draft a new charter for voters to consider in the future. It’s not an automatic change—it’s a study process that puts the decision firmly in the hands of the community.
At Meet the Candidate, I’ll share what I’ve learned so far about Home Rule and do my best to answer your questions.
Why You Should Come
This event is about you. Whether you’re worried about taxes, excited about opportunities for growth, or simply want to make your voice heard, your perspective matters. Bradford’s challenges can only be solved if we work together, and that starts with honest conversations.
