The City of Bradford Government Study Commission Community Survey closes Monday, August 31, and I strongly encourage every City resident to take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire before the deadline.
The Government Study Commission is examining how Bradford’s city government is structured and considering the future of our local government. The questionnaire is an important opportunity for residents to communicate directly with the Commission about what they want that future to look like.

Whatever your opinion may be about how Bradford city government works today, this survey gives residents an opportunity to share that perspective.
If you believe something should change, say so.
If you believe something is working well and should be preserved, say that too.
The future structure of our city government should not be shaped solely by elected officials, consultants, or the relatively small number of residents who regularly attend public meetings. It should reflect the people who actually live, work, raise families, own homes, operate businesses, and pay taxes in Bradford.
That requires participation.
Why This Matters
The Government Study Commission was elected by Bradford voters to examine our form of government and is currently developing recommendations concerning Bradford’s future governmental structure.
The decisions that come out of this process could influence how Bradford governs itself for years to come. Questions involving the responsibilities of elected officials, administrative leadership, accountability, efficiency, and the overall structure of local government can ultimately affect both the services residents receive and how taxpayer dollars are managed.
This questionnaire is one of the clearest opportunities residents have to tell the Commission what they expect from their local government.
The survey contains 10 questions plus an optional comment section and is intended specifically for residents of the City of Bradford.
