The Board of Health met on October 28th to review ongoing public health concerns, discuss nuisance property cases, and update the community on new developments affecting neighborhood safety and quality of life.
Appeal Filed for 183 Jackson Ave.
The Department of Health received an appeal regarding the nuisance designation of 183 Jackson Ave., a property owned by S&L Property Holdings. This appeal, filed on October 24th, will move through the formal review process before any further action is taken.
Five New Nuisance Properties Under Review
The Board initiated action on five additional nuisance properties due to health and safety violations. These properties include:
- 161 Davis St. – Owned by Nicholas Johnson
- 52 Burnside Ave. – Owned by Eugene P. Woodmansee et al.
- 170 Elm St. – Owned by Towd Point Mortgage Trust 2018-1 (US Bank National Association)
- 92 Congress St. – Owned by Kent Cobado et al.
- 49 Oxford St. – Owned by Crystal L. and Heaven F. Dickerson
These cases will proceed through the city’s nuisance abatement process, which is an important tool for keeping neighborhoods safe and livable.
